Saponificio Bignoli

Since 1945, the Italian company Saponificio Bignoli has been dedicated to the production of toilet soaps, shaving soaps, body soaps, and hand soaps, serving traditional shaving and with a passion for craftsmanship. The company is an artisan soap factory born from the determination and experience of grandfather Carlo, who, after years of working in a soap factory in Milan, decided to start his own business.

Grandfather Carlo’s adventure began with the production of the first “batches” of laundry soap in a large copper pot, drying them on the ground for a few days, and then selling those precious white loaves in various local markets. Over the years, the company’s story has developed through three generations, acquiring decades of experience in the production of high-end soaps in the fields of perfumery and traditional shaving. However, Saponificio Bignoli maintains the artisanal and family character of the past, the value of tradition, and the love for well-made things.

With a perfect combination of tradition and innovation, the company has rediscovered grandfather Carlo’s ancient recipe and with it the desire to produce the shaving soap of the past, using the same method, the same passion, and a formulation with today’s natural, controlled, and gentle ingredients. In all their formulas, they use rice, a natural ingredient strongly linked to the lands from which the Bignoli family comes.

Saponificio Bignoli places particular importance on saponification, using selected and very high-quality ingredients and processing them with the utmost respect to keep all their properties intact. The company produces a neutral and balanced soap, expertly managing the saponification reaction, a delicate balance between time and heat.

Thanks to the artisanal and manual methods employed in small production batches, Saponificio Bignoli can have absolute control over the quality of each of its products.
