The set consists as following:

Totally revised in formula and fragrance (December 2019) This shaving cream is deliberately inspired by Acqua di Parma with its almond memory (strictly free of benzoic aldehyde) and with the entry of important heart notes of Anise, Peach and Ylang Ylang resting on a herbaceous bed of Vanilla and White Musk
The result is a shaving cream with a sweet and slightly fragrance.

Shibumi – Rasoio a mano libera stile giapponese a lame intercambiabili
The new ‘Shibumi‘ straight razor with replaceable blades is innovative in many ways.
It uses normal half razor blades (such as Astra, Derby, Personna..) and has been designed down to the smallest detail to guarantee maximum shaving comfort.
Forged in a single curved piece, Shibumi is the ultimate expression of simplicity, rigour, balance and manageability.
It is made of steel coated with rustproof industrial “black” Teflon.
The material with which the handle is covered (manually wound by expert craftsmen), allows a firm grip throughout the shaving process, while the absence of the folding handle is the total synthesis of shaving.

USE:
It’s recommended to shave after wiping The Goodfellas’ smile shaving cloth/towel under hot running water. Once wrung out, apply it to the skin for a few minutes, softening the beard which will be less prone to annoying “cuts” and irritation. After shaving, repeat the above process.
How to insert a new blade into the razor:
1) Breaking the blade: take a blade out of the double blade pack and, without removing it from the casing, fold it in half from the long side. The pressure will break it into 2 equal parts.
2) Insert the blade into the freehand razor: remove the removable clutch from the razor head by pushing it outwards. Place the half-blade on the pins of the clutch that act as guides. Gently reinsert the plug into the razor head.
3) Enjoy your shave!

The Goodfellas’ shaving bowl made from Beech wood.
Each shaving bowl is handmade in Italy, varnished 3 times and lacquered both internally and externally to ensure maximum durability.

The height of the spiral beard bowl and its flaring, gives a great fitting feel and is comfortable to hold. The bottom diameter measures 12 cm.
Because these beard bowls are made entirely by hand, and because of the intrinsic nature of the wood, each piece is different from the next in appearance, with veins ranging from black to gold.
The manual turning on the bottom is done to considerably increase the air supply to the soap during assembly, thus favouring the production of a rich and full-bodied foam. This, too, being done manually on counter-knotted wood, can present slightly “dirty” overhangs.
The choice of wood over ceramic is dictated by the following reasons:.

Ottimo kit. La ciotola in legno è molto ben fatta, solida e ben rifinita. Il disegno sul fondo aiuta molto a montare il sapone e permette di creare una schiuma bella soffice e di far diffondere bene nell’aria il profumo e le fragranze del sapone che si sta montando.
Il rasoio Shibumi è molto semplice ed efficace, la lametta, una volta armato, risulta stabile e ben fissata. L’impugnatura è buona e la rasatura risulta facile e piacevole.
Il sapone Shibusa 2 mi ha stupito per la scorrevolezza, buono il profumo, ne basta poco e nella ciotola in legno monta molto facilmente.
Lo shibumi (arrivato con una lametta in omaggio) è ben fatto: è bilanciato, ha un ottimo manico, inoltre ho notato che è molto comodo montare la mezza lametta che, una volta posizionata, non si muove di un millesimo come succede spesso con sistemi simili. Il punto forte del set però è il sapone! Oltre ad avere un’ottima fragranza (soggettivo) mi ha stupito per il fatto che è la prima volta in cui non ho avuto bisogno di dopobarba (cosa incredibile visto la mia pelle molto sensibile). Sulla ciotola niente da dire… è una ciotola di legno molto ampia e bella da vedere in qualsiasi bagno ma niente di speciale.

Molto bello esteticamente, il rasoio è leggerissimo, ben bilanciato e con un buon grip. Prima volta che utilizzavo uno shavette, l’ho scelto perchè avevo il timore di essere destabilizzato da un manico mobile che si muovesse durante la rasatura. Ha pienamente soddisfatto le aspettative, e lo consiglio (considerato anche il prezzo onestissimo e l’estetica in stile kamisori) per chi ha la medesima paura nell’approcciarsi a questo strumento.
