When reinserting the cover plate,make sure that the notch marking on the side of the cover plate is on the same side of the the razor handle as the notch marking which is engraved on the base plate. This is required so the adjustment settings on the razor will calibrate properly. tighten the knob on the bottom of teh razor until the razor cover plate is in the lowest position (lined up at 1)
