From the renowned Germans to the luxurious American safety razors, from the exceptional Japanese to the inexpensive Chinese and Koreans. We can find great products in India and England, but Spain, Portugal and Turkey also have their share of successful brands.
What is difficult to understand, however, is where Italy is. A country that has always been associated with the true art of shaving.
And so the Gladio project came to life.
The idea was to create something beautiful, precise and functional, capable of reflecting Italian creativity, luxury and production capacity.
To create the head of the closed-comb safety razor, we opted for a higher than average grade of shave to allow it to be used both for daily use and for weekly shaves without ever overdoing the aggressiveness of the cut.
The head is made of high quality satin-finished die-cast Zamak.
The satin finished aluminium handle with its highly refined design is somewhere between SteamPunk and Motorcycle. The vertical grooves promote a firm grip even in the most complicated situations, while lightness and agility reign supreme throughout the shave.

Il rasoio appare davvero ben fatto, la leggera brunitura della testa rispetto al manico crea davvero un bell’effetto. Alla mano risulta comodo, almeno per i miei gusti poiché preferisco un po’ di sbilanciamento sulla testa rispetto al manico.. il grip è eccellente! Ho aspettato di provarlo un paio di volte prima di lasciare una recensione, anche per poterlo testare con diverse lame e vedere come si comportava.
Provato con Rapira, Voskhod e Bolzano ed in tutti e tre i casi la sensazione sulla pelle è stata davvero una sorpresa. Già con due passate si può dire che fa tutto il suo lavoro, oserei dire quasi con delicatezza e come qualcuno ha scritto prima di me, è un piacere anche all’orecchio.
Abituato con un edwin jagger, ho dovuto cambiare un po’ l’approccio , ma di poco, è bastato aprire un po’ di più l’angolo di rasatura ed è andato che è una meraviglia.

Ottimo rasoio, efficace ma tollerante, si presta facilmente a barbe di diversa lunghezza. Funziona meglio con un saponi che tamponano di più. Servizio vendita e consegna Goodfellas superlativo.

Appena arrivato e subito messo all’opera. Bello, bel materiale , bella satinatura , testina che rispetto al manico appare leggermente tendente al bronzeo , manico ergonomico, pratico, grippante, adatto a tutti i vari metodi di impugnatura che si alternano in fase di rasatura, particolarmente leggero (come piace a me) col peso sbilanciato verso la testina , per una agilità e una efficacia perfetta per le mie abitudini.
In fase di rasatura “morde” di più rispetto a un EJ de89 mantenendo però dolcezza e tranquillità d’uso…..e poi c’è una cosa che adoro: “canta”….forse il materiale , forse il manico cavo, forse la lametta….ma “canta” che è una meraviglia!!!
Come primo uso lo promuovo a pieni voti….
Per le mie abitudini , tre sbarbate a settimana , quindi con barba mai lunghissima…..potrei considerarlo il rasoio definitivo!!!
Quello che mi auguro davvero è che sia veramente forgiato e prodotto in Italia e che il mio acquisto ( anche se è solo una goccia in mare) sia di beneficio a chi vive in Italia.
