Boker Barberette Changeable Blade Straight Razor Olive wood handle
Along with the established Boker Barberettes with a plastic blade receptacle that we already offer, many barbers have been asking for a straight razor knife with a stainless steel receptacle. The receptacle of the Boker Pro Barberettes is designed to accommodate a half Double Edge (43 mm standard blade) and hold it securely between the two stainless steel parts. This system has been used by professional barbers and hairdressers for many years before we optimized it.
The geometry and size of the Boker Pro Barberette follows that of the premium-quality forged straight razors made by the Boker Manufactory Solingen. The bottom of the tang has a fine serration, offering a secure grip even when wet. In order to improve opening the two blade halves, the round point is tapered inward on both sides. When the clamp is removed, the two halves can be easily pushed against each other by means of the round point. Precise riveting and superior craftsmanship ensure precise function and a long life even with heavy use.
The Boker Pro Barberette combines professional functionality, a familiar grip and balance and the authentic aesthetics of a classic straight razor. If you are just starting out, it is an alternative to a forged straight razor at a lower price point. Before inserting, the double blades need to be carefully broken in half. Comes with historic packaging and a double-edged blade. Thanks to its high density and oil content, olive wood is perfectly suited for contact with water. The vibrant pattern adds visual interest. Uno shavette decisamente bello, elegante e costruito molto bene. Lo si tiene in mano agevolmente e ha un sistema di fissaggio della lametta (vanno bene solo quelle divise a metà) molto semplice e intuitivo, ma decisamente solido e che non crea mai inconvenienti o sorprese nel corso della rasatura, in modo che uno possa essere concentrato sullo svolgimento della sbarbata senza timori di movimento della lametta. La parte in legno d’ulivo dona allo shavette ulteriore pregio e fascino. Viene fornito con un astuccio nero molto elegante e in linea con la qualità dei prodotti Boker e che può essere un valido strumento sia per riporre sempre lo shavette dopo l’uso, ma anche per trasportarlo in modo sicuro e discreto. La rasatura richiede ovviamente un minimo di esperienza e di perseveranza, ma con questo prodotto si viene ripagati con risultati decisamente validi. Insomma, decisamente consigliato, sapendo che si spende una cifra non irrisoria (ma nemmeno elevatissima) per avere a disposizione uno strumento bello, affidabile e che sa far bene quanto richiesto. Onestamente, penso che lo si possa considerare come il primo ma anche lo shavette definitivo senza particolari difficoltà o ripensamenti.

Io me ne sono innamorato solo guardando la foto. Shavette di perfetta fattura, solido, rifinito (il legno è trattato anche nella parte interna). È un piacere maneggiarlo, la lama è poco esposta, trasmette sicurezza. Il fissaggio della mezza lametta è stabilissimo grazie ai 4 punti di incastro, ed è perfetto anche per le mezze lame già confezionate (con altre shavette le mezze lame già confezionate non garantiscono di fissare bene la lametta perché non fanno spessore come con le alette che si creano quando spezzi una lametta a metà). Prima sbarbata piacevole e senza irritazioni. È la mia shavette definitiva.
