For the creation of Apsley Truefitt & Hill, the Duke of Wellington, one of England’s most illustrious sons, was approached. A character of legendary fame among Britain’s greatest heroes, a military genius and enlightened statesman, he combines the idea of courage and determination with the sophisticated refinement of the English gentleman. The Apsley cologne borrowed its name from the eponymous palace in London, once the residence of the Duke of Wellington and now a museum dedicated to him.
