I bought a Rex Konsul razor (as an upgrade from a Muhle R89) and tried a selection of my favourite blades with it (Treet Platinum, Gilette 7 o’clock super platinum, Timor, even Astra SP). I nicked myself a number of times and I worried that this really expensive razor wasn’t for me. In some desperation, I tried the Rex platinum blades. There was a night-and-day difference, these provided a close three-pass shave with no damage, so I bought 200 of these.
