WestMan Shaving, based in Lisbon, Portugal, sees Tiago as the primary face behind the brand.

Every facet of WestMan, from research to customer service, from fragrance creation to inventory management, from design to photography and beyond, falls under Tiago’s purview. However, the irreplaceable support of his wife plays a pivotal role in the success of the venture.

But where did the passion for this project come from?

Commercial shaving products and multi-blade razors never fully satisfied Tiago. Many can identify with this experience. One could say he didn’t give it much thought, often opting for beard trimmers over traditional shaving.

The turning point came in 2014. A friend of Tiago’s was honing his skills as a barber, working at a renowned barbershop in Lisbon that also featured a bar, a popular gathering place. Initially, Tiago was drawn to the vintage-style haircuts offered there. But soon, he discovered the magic of hot towel shaves. Noticing a marked improvement in his skin, he felt compelled to seek a similar shaving experience to replicate at home.

Over the years, Tiago delved into a wide array of products and his exploration never ceased. Although he had a certain fondness for specific razors and brushes, his search for the ideal soap and aftershave remained endless. Product formulation became a true passion for him. One discovery led to another, and before long, he began sourcing raw materials and equipment to craft his own shaving products.

After investing many hours in research, a point was reached where he was ready to share his creations with other shaving enthusiasts.

And so, WestMan Shaving was born.
