You are looking for Stirling Soap Company?

The Stirling Soap Company is an American manufacturer of artisan shaving soaps and aftershaves, based in Texas.

Founded in January 2012 by owners Roderick and Amanda Lovan, Stirling Soap Company was born following a trip to Scotland which inspired them to seek out pure and natural products for their bodies (not to mention Scottish food, beer, and whiskey!). After some research, they discovered that the “soap” bought in local supermarkets couldn’t even be considered real soap. Digging deeper into natural, artisanal soaps, they realized that if they wanted to make the switch, they would have to significantly increase their budget. Who has the money to spend on a natural soap for daily use?

This led to their mission statement: one shouldn’t have to pay eight dollars for a natural bar of soap that is good for the skin and safe for the whole family. They strongly believed in this at Stirling Soap Company. When they found out that most of what is considered “soap” in stores is not technically soap according to the FDA’s definition, and is full of lab-created chemicals and detergents to cut down on production costs, they decided to explore natural soaps. While they were impressed by the quality of the soaps they found, they knew they couldn’t use them as everyday soaps at the prices offered.

So, they set out to create a natural, healthy, yet affordable soap.

During the development phase, they tested numerous recipes and different suppliers, comparing processing styles, casting methods, cutting, and preservation. They maxed out credit cards buying more and more ingredients to find the perfect combinations that would bring the best soap to life. Collecting their notes and feedback from testers, they created the best possible soaps at a price accessible to everyone. The result is what they offer on their website.

Stirling Soap Company‘s soap offers the same natural ingredients as more expensive handmade soaps. The very same. Although one can find a chemical-laden bar soap at the supermarket, it won’t leave the skin as soft and moisturized as the natural and handmade soaps of Stirling Soap Company. Moreover, their soaps don’t dry out or strip the skin like the chemical ones sold in stores. Most of their soaps are 100% natural and suitable for everyone. To maintain accessibility, some soaps contain synthetic fragrance oils, guaranteed safe and suitable for vegans.

Stirling Soap Company also aimed to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Where possible, they use labels made from 100% post-consumer recycled material. The only exceptions are for products or labels that could be damaged or become unreadable over time if not stored in plastic containers or marked with water-resistant labels (for example, lip balms, heel and palm balms, witch hazel, and aloe). The wrapping for their bath soaps and shaving soaps in sample or refill format is made from biolefin, a plastic that naturally decomposes into biomass within 2-5 years (unlike normal plastic, which takes hundreds of years to biodegrade). All the ingredients in their soaps are safe for the environment, as well as for you and your family. They also use sustainable palm oil that does not contribute to deforestation or the destruction of animal habitats. Don’t be surprised if you find finely shredded newspapers, crushed boxes, or junk mail reduced to strips in your package, used as packing material. This is their way of reusing material to be environmentally friendly and keep operational costs low.

They sincerely hope you understand that, although you can buy a bar of detergent soap at the supermarket for a dollar, one cannot put a price on one’s own and their family’s health. Stirling Soap Company‘s soap will not only reduce your dependence on moisturizing lotions but will make you feel clean, refreshed, and full of vitality. They always have more than a dozen bars of soap in their shower and love every minute spent under the water. Try their soaps, and you’ll have no doubts: you’ll wonder how you ever used anything else!
